Palazzo M, Latina, Italy Robert G. Harland 10.17028/rd.lboro.3978132.v1 https://repository.lboro.ac.uk/articles/figure/Palazzo_M_Latina_Italy/3978132 The architectural design for Palazzo M is in the shape of the capital letter M for Mussolini, built from a plan that shows it surrounding a landscape featuring the same letter on the floorscape. Seen here from the top of the skyscraper Torre Pontina, the building was designed in 1942 and built soon after. It was inaugurated on 21 April 1943 and used briefly as the Casa del Fascio, until the fall of fascism within months. Initially it also had a tower that has since been dismantled.  <br> 2016-11-24 15:16:51 Latina Province (formerly Littoria Province), Italy Casa del Fascio, Littoria Architecture Lettering Mussolini Fascism Latina Torre Pontina Urban graphic object archive, Loughborough Architectural Design Architectural Heritage and Conservation Architectural History and Theory Architecture not elsewhere classified Building not elsewhere classified Built Environment and Design not elsewhere classified Community Planning Design History and Theory History and Theory of the Built Environment (excl.
