We herein report a new addition to this switching phenomenon in which epoxides are converted to cyclic carbonates by addition of CO under standard heating/electrolysis conditions but are 'switched' to alkenes under deoxygenating sonochemical conditions. © Georg Thieme Verlag. %I Loughborough University
