LEEDR Household recruitment: procedures, materials and methods BuswellRichard WebbLynda MitchellVal 2015 The LEEDR project was a 4-year research project that investigated energy demand reduction in family homes through understanding more about the way in which routines affect energy consumption. A multidisciplinary approach was taken using insights gained from engineering led monitoring, video based ethnographic techniques and interview/workshop methods from user centered design. The project took conscious steps to negotiate and collaborate across these disciplines in the recruitment of households to the study and in doing so a professional set of materials and a systematic approach to the recruitment process was developed. This report provides a structured presentation of the procedures, materials and methods used.
