The main aim of the report is to explore the externalisation–EIM nexus in the southern Mediterranean region (specifically in North Africa). To this aim, possible areas of interaction between two processes will be discussed by providing insight about the tools of externalisation. Based on this discussion about EIM in the Mediterranean, four future scenarios will be outlined. %I Loughborough University
