Increasingly, they support statutory periodic refreshment and form collaborative partnerships with public and academic libraries. This chapter explores changes impacting on libraries as they evolve to accommodate emerging learning needs. It discusses problem-based learning, enquiry-based learning and 'clinical placements' before outlining a case study that typifies such changes.
