The adaption of the City of Westminster street nameplate design to this bag illustrates how graphic design and urban visual culture can be synonymous with each other. Street signage becomes street culture, transitioning into fashion culture through the adaptation of the 1960s pop culture associated with The Beatles. The graffiti, an act of fan worship and part of the sign that stood outside the Abbey Road recording studio, adds an unanticipated further embellishment.
