Chemoselective oxidation of sulfides to sulfoxides with urea-hydrogen peroxide complex catalysed by diselenide
journal contribution
posted on 2016-05-26, 11:17 authored by Philip C. Bulman Page, Benjamin BuckleyBenjamin Buckley, Claire Elliott, Yohan Chan, Nicolas Dreyfus, Frank MarkenA highly selective catalytic oxidation system has been developed for the conversion of sulfides to the corresponding sulfoxides using urea–hydrogen peroxide as stoichiometric oxidant in the presence of a catalytic quantity of diphenyl diselenide.
