The Learning Design: Occasional Papers series sets out to explore and explain the learning procss in Design at all levels of education. It is directed particularly at teachers who wish to base their work on a deeper understanding of the nature of ‘design intelligence’ and the dynamics of teaching and learning in the area. The first publication analyses development and progression in Primary Design and Technology. Although it uses the National Curriculum framework as a starting point, the intention is to probe beyond this framework to relate it to larger issues of method and philosophy.
