Amikam Toren: the rest is history [Exhibition catalogue]

Amikam Toren is one of the most important and interesting conceptual artists of the last half-century to work in the UK. He is well represented in Tate’s collection and internationally. In 2021 won the valuable David and Yuko Juda prize. All the pieces in this exhibition [open on weekdays 12-2, throughout February] in the Martin Hall Gallery, employ paintings he has purchased, from which, or with which, Toren has created his own new art-works. This category comprises three inter-connected series and a fourth, related, one; this last is created with the remnants, ‘outcuts’, of the first series.
