This paper explores how incubators frame their support programs and how this works and
what it lacks in terms of the results these programs produce. It highlights the role of design and the approaches necessary to implement and integrate into the incubation process, as well as deeply understanding what is truly specific about the design discipline and whether or not it can provide adequate tools and methods for incubation policies and initiatives to be replicated within the right frameworks that enable social innovations to evolve into business ventures or structured organizations.
