In this paper we are describing a novel circular model for the production of high purity biomethane coupled with biomass generation and an added component of carbon stabilisation. The model has been tested and individual components of the system have been optimised to achieve the best overall performance and highest yields of the end products. The overall carbon balance calculations of the system indicate net negative CO2 emissions. This shows great promise for high purity biomethane generation with the added benefit of biomass generation, carbon stabilisation and nutrient recycling.
