Engineering of Sport 15 - Proceedings from the 15th International Conference on the Engineering of Sport (ISEA 2024)

Golf balls are tested by the sport’s governing bodies to ensure that they conform to the Rules of Golf. The governing bodies don’t release the data from their conformance tests, however, so golfers have limited independent data on which to judge the marketing claims of the various manufacturers. The aim of this study was to compare the performance of a wide range of commercially available golf balls across multiple types of shot.
