Whirlwind and cascade models for the investigation of wind turbines with vertical axis of rotation - Type Darrieus

The analytical methods are used in the Darrieus turbine design development and performance evaluation prediction. The advantages, drawbacks and relevant field of applications for the Vortex and Cascade analytical models are reviewed.
