Antimicrobial Resistance of the Silicone Elastomer

This was performed by subjecting the samples to bacterium infection and then using a plant based antimicrobial to disinfect the test sample. After, the test samples were subjected to mechanical testing (tensile and tear strength, elongation test, Shore A hardness) and morphology tests (visual observation and scanning electron microscopy).
