Data and analysis files associated with the manuscript “Stereotype Threat, Gender and Mathematics Attainment: A Replication of Stricker & Ward”.

The main analysis is in All_1169_Participants.jasp, subgroup analyses in the other two files.

For non-JASP users, the data are also in All_1169_Participants.txt, and the results are in html files.

The multilevel model was conducted in R, and the script is included here.

Key variables:

Form: A=(name and gender before), B=(name and gender after) answering the questions.

GenderFemale: 1 if female, 0 if male.

The first digit of the ID indicates the school - they are all in England and have the following characteristics:

1. Non-selective Coed State school (Academy)
2. Selective Girls State school (Academy)
3. Non-selective Coed State school (Academy)
4. Selective Coed State school (Academy)
5. Selective Coed State school (Academy)

OfficialScore: the score awarded to each student by the UKMT.
