<p>This is a dataset consisting of the wheel CAD geometry and the wind tunnel PIV data files used for the following publication:</p> <p><br></p> <p>D.Patel, A.Garmory and M.A. Passmore, On the Wake of an Isolated Rotating Wheel: An Experimental and Numerical Investigation.<br> </p> <p><br></p> <p><strong>Wheel_FullScale.x_t</strong> is the Parasolid CAD file for the full-scale wheel geometry used for the majority of the study.</p> <p><br></p> <p><strong>Wheel_WTVersion.x_t</strong> is the Parasolid CAD file for the half-scale wheel geometry used for the wind tunnel experiment and numerical validation study.</p> <p><br></p> <p><strong>Wheel_WTVersionwithWT.x_t</strong> is the Parasolid CAD file for the half-scale wheel geometry and the wind tunnel geometry used for the wind tunnel experiment and numerical validation study.</p> <p><br></p> <p><strong>X330mm_Mean.dat</strong> is the file containing the mean velocity components for the x/d=1 plane from the PIV.</p> <p><br></p> <p><strong>X495mm_Mean.dat </strong>is the file containing the mean velocity components for the x/d=1.5 plane from the PIV.</p> <p><br></p> <p><strong>Y0mm_Mean.dat</strong> is the file containing the mean velocity components for the y/d=0 plane from the PIV.</p> <p><br></p> <p><strong>Y0mm_RMS.dat</strong> is the file containing the root mean square of the velocity components for the y/d=0 plane from the PIV.<br> </p> <p><strong>Y50mm_Mean.dat</strong> is the file containing the mean velocity components for the y/d=0.152 plane from the PIV.</p> <p><br></p> <p><strong>Y50mm_RMS.dat</strong> is the file containing the root mean square of the velocity components for the y/d=0.152 plane from the PIV.<br> </p> <p><br></p>
