This exhibition is part of Zihan Zhou's practice-based doctoral project, 'Wearable Memories: Contemporary Jewellery Practice Based on the Study of Nomadic Culture in Northern China'.
In this project, personal emotion and collective memory are explored through jewellery making as well as theoretical investigation, with a focus on the vanishing nomadic culture of her hometown, Inner Mongolia, Northern China.
The exhibition presents two bodies of work developed during her PhD research, alongside the research and making processes that informed their creation. Curated by Zihan Zhou.
