The wild & mysterious landscapes of the Staffordshire Moorlands were the inspiration. It utilises symbolism & imagery stemming from the late 14th century poem, Sir Gwain & the late Green Knight. Abstract expressionist Franz Kline stimulated the introduction of the collection & encouraged development into expressive scale.
