Typographic building sign, Latina, Italy

The typography on the front facade of the Stadio Domenico Francioni is symptomatic of the sans serif typestyle seen on many public buildings in Latina. In this case, it serves to highlight the importance of sport in the fascist consciousness – the stadium is one of the key visible components on the initial city plan. It can be viewed from Piazzale Prampolini.
