Essamplaire_1: Laser Patterned Flax/PLA Nonwoven is a textile design work that explores the historic concept of a textile sampler, or essamplaire, as an approach to textiles research that sits at the interface between technology, art and design. The piece has emerged from a practice led research project looking into the development of sustainable sheet materials for design applications.
