This video is part of a series that show the working of the Hygrothermal Test Facility (HTF) at the sir Frank Gibb laboratory at the school of Architecture, Building and Civil Engineering.
In the video the wind driven rain simulation mimics the rain that falls on a test speciment in the exterior chamber, first at normal speed and then slowed down 8x. The rain is produced by a set of four spray nozzles that each spray water on a square area with a variable rain volume. One of the spray nozzles is shown in greater detail at a 90 degree angle from the spray direction.
