A project by artist Penny Davis from the thesis Matricentric Drawing: Performative Autoethnographic Strategies for Visualising Reproductive Work and Maternal Thinking as a Single (M)other 2025. In this project the artist recorded washing up with a Nanny Cam in her kitchen and then made a drawing by tracing directly over the video. The video is overlaid with a monologue of the artist reading a list of chores to be done thought about whilst in the process of washing up. The project was a part of the research into the connections between autoethnography and drawing to explore maternal thinking and reproductive work.
