Respondent Mother 2022 Performance Drawing to Video

A performance video drawing performed in the artist's own kitchen floor over a week. Drawings are created using an autoethnographic method to develop performance drawing gestures using a variety of traditional and domestic materials in response to legal abuse in a court case over child arrangements. The project was part of the practice-led research for the thesis Matricentric Drawing: Performative autoethnographic Strategies for Reproductive Work and Maternal Thinking as a Single (M)other 2025. The first video contains a voiceover which is then removed for the second and final version.
