Contextual Questions and their Implications for Engineering Undergraduates' Attitudes towards Mathematics - dataset

A questionnaire was used to determine first-year undergraduate engineering students' attitudes towards a mathematics topic (integral calculus) and the use of contextual questions. This questionnaire was distributed to a group of students' studying Electrical Engineering who had not seen any contextual questions (group E1), a group of Electrical Engineering students who had seen a small number of contextual questions (group E2), a group of Mechanical Engineering students who had not seen any contextual questions (group M) and a group of Aeronautical & Automotive students who had seen a small number of contextual questions (group A).
