In a context of growing levels of problematic personal debt and men’s apparent reluctance to seek
debt advice, this study, using in-depth interviews with twenty men, investigated ‘triggers’ into
problematic debt for men; men’s contributions to the management of household finances; how
men see their own debt advice needs, and men’s experiences and expectations of debt advice services. (Continues...).
