This paper outlines the initial stages of a joint Home Office Crime Prevention Unit (CPU)/National Association of Victim Support (NAVSS) project on an inner city local authority housing estate. It describes a community crime prevention initiative that aims to give victims of all types of crime and harassment emotional and practical support and to reduce crime through work with victims.
