A project by artist Penny Davis from the thesis Matricentric Drawing: Performative Autoethnographic Strategies for Visualising Reproductive Work and Maternal Thinking as a Single (M)other 2025. In this project the artist recorded events and observations as they connected to the theme of maternal desire and then made a drawing a day in response to the writing. The project was a part of the research into the connections between autoethnography and drawing to explore maternal thinking and reproductive work and was abandoned after 5 drawings were completed although 30 days of diaries were recorded in writing.
