Domestic Academics Quilt project 2020-2021 with Vanessa Marr
The project I am she and she is I was a quilt square made during the artists participation in a collaborative project created by Vanessa Marr (University of Brighton) to create a Domestic Academics Quilt during the Covid 19 Lockdowns of 2020-2021. The folders contain all the documentation around the project including documentation of the exhibition of the quilt as it toured to Martin Hall Gallery, Loughborough University. The file with documentation of the process of the artists own submission (I am she and she is I) including sensitive information around the artists daughter is published in a separate file and remains embargoed until the child reaches adulthood. The project was made during the research period for the PhD Matricentric Drawing: Strategies for Visualising Reproductive Work and Maternal Thinking as a Single Mother 2025 by Penny Davis.
