Download fileA brief guide to operating a design studio
A 92 page guide to setting up and running a communications / graphic design studio.
This is a guide to back-end processes, bridging the gap between technical how-to guides (how do I make work) and technical production guides (how is this work produced in the mass media) and looks at the middle processes involved in ensuring a day-to-day workflow.
It has been specifically designed to act as an aid for the SAFOD organisation in Africa to supplement the online training they receive, and to act as a day to day guide for practice until they develop their own institutional knowledge base and practices.
