MEs can be involved in many of the stages of SWM depending on their size and operational capabilities. Smaller MEs will be limited to primary stages of SWM. This may include house-to-house collection, resource recovery, street sweeping. These activities require low capital expenditure and can be efficient when operated on a small scale.
