Three polymers, poly(ethylene), poly(trimethylene oxide) and
poly(tetramethylene oxide) have been used in a study of the crystallization
and melting behaviour of semi-crystalline polymers, and
their effect on morphology and molecular motion.
Crystallization and morphological phenomena have been examined
in detail for poly(trimethylene oxide), using a variety of techniques
including wide and small angle X-ray diffraction, dilatometry, optical
microscopy, differential scanning calorimetry and by dielectric
constant studies. [Continues.]
