This thesis examines the way in which the social security system in
France treats non-nationals and members of ethnic minorities. The
investigation covers three main areas: consumption of benefits by non-nationals;
legal entitlement members of ethnic minorities; and
administrative and cultural barriers to take-up. [Continues.]
