Within the area of birational geometry one of the most frequent and complicated operations that occur are flips. They have been proven to exist in all dimensions, but their explicit classification and terminality still remain as some of the most difficult open questions in geometry. Explicit description of flips are fundamental within the Minimal Model Program, introduced by Reid and Mori around 40 years ago, as well as in Sarkisov Program. This thesis works towards the classification of 3-fold flips in codimension 2, that is flips that arise from a complete intersection of two hypersurfaces in C^6.
