In particular, the development of connected vehicles (CVs), autonomous vehicles (AVs), and connected-autonomous vehicles (CAVs) have drawn attention from governmental bodies, industrial organisations and academic institutions with the premises to improve the driving experience, efficiency and comfort and enhance the safety, mobility and reduce vehicle emissions. Based on these premises, the focus of this research is to evaluate and quantify the potential impacts and benefits of CVs, AVs and CAVs based on the various traffic conditions in urban and sub-urban environment.
