This thesis is an investigation into plasmonic photocatalysts for the remediation of wastewater and an investigation into the use of microfluidic devices for photocatalysis. It further investigates the use of optical properties to create a model that includes the effect of light on the photocatalyst and contaminant to find the reaction rate constant k’ and the adsorption equilibrium constant KA.
