A new series of diphosphane ligands containing a PCNCP bicyclic structure were synthesised through a two-step or even one step preparation method. In the two-step synthetic method, phosphonium salts were obtained through the reactions of THPC and different anilines, followed by a condensation reaction to isolate the target diphosphane ligands. In the next optimisation research, it was possible to isolate these target diphosphane ligands during the reactions of THPC and different anilines using a more polar solvent (MeOH). The 4-dimethylamino diphosphane (2.30) and 4-morpholino diphosphane (2.32) ligands were characterised by X-ray diffraction analysis, showing similar parameters in their core bicyclic structures.
