Systems electronics for craft, design and technology

This thesis examines, defines, clarifies and establishes a coherent theoretical framework to support the application of systems concepts, in a C.D.T. (Craft, Design and Technology) electronic design context. The literature based research highlights the hierarchical nature of systems, the supporting terminology and the manner in which the term denotes the interaction between the objective world and the subjective perception of observers. The central holistic concept of system, synthesizes the notion of a set of interconnected elements, which generate emergent properties that may not exist in the elements embodied within it.
