The population of pike and their movements were studied in
Staunton Harold Reservoir, Derbyshire. The length–frequency,
length–weight relationship, relative condition, age and growth
of pike were determined mainly from 85 pike caught by angling.
The population of adult pike in the reservoir was estimated to
be 430 with a biomass of 23 kg/ha and production of 4.01 kg/ha. [Continues.]
