A series of batch sorption, diffusion and column experiments was used to investigate the
effect that material naturally present in groundwater, and the organic ligands EDTA and
acetate, had on the sorption of radionuclides onto glacial sediment. Detailed investigations
were carried out with Iodine and Cobalt. Preliminary sorption studies with Caesium,
Strontium, Neptunium and Europium were also undertaken. [Continues.]
