The objectives of the project were largely met with many of the research questions adequately
addressed. Issues which were identified in the literature review such as the gap between relief
and development, prioritization of prevention, and the funding and coordination of the transition
period were themes which emerged in the findings. The potential use of the findings could be to
develop new strategies, systems or structures for addressing the issues surrounding the
transition from emergency response in Uganda. Although the findings are specific to Uganda,
their correlation with the themes in the more general literature reviewed for this study suggest
they could be more broadly considered...
