Data for: Learning from English and Kuwaiti children’s transcoding errors: How might number names be temporarily adapted to assist learning of place value?

Raw data from study of English and Kuwaiti children aged 5-7. They were asked to (a) write down numbers spoken to them, (b) write numbers numerically for numbers written in words (not done for Kuwaiti children), and (c) say out load numbers written in numerical form. Details of codes are within one of the spreadsheets. Also a spreadsheet of analysis of some of the codes. This data relates to a paper submitted to Educational Studies in Mathematics entitled "Learning from English and Kuwaiti children’s transcoding errors: How might number names be temporarily adapted to assist learning of place value?".
